Evening Makeup Application

Evening makeup calls for a bit of drama. This is not the time to go au naturel. It's the time to bring out the shimmer!

To get a perfect face, you really only need 5 minutes and you have to start with good skin.

Step 1: Wash your face with lukewarm water and exfoliate with a washcloth to remove any flakes prior to makeup application.

Step 2: Apply moisturizer. For oily skin use a foundation primer

Step 3: Apply tinted moisturizer (you might prefer foundation), with a foam sponge. To be safe, use a Non-Latex sponge. Then apply concealer under the eye and along the inside part of your eye. Then apply foundation that matches your skin tone.

For the more dramatic look on the eyes, you will need eyeliner, shadow and mascara.

Step4: Bronzer gives definition to the angles on your face. You are now going to contour your jawbone, temples and under the cheekbone areas. This is done by using a big fluffy brush and applying the bronzer to those areas.

Step 5: Apply blush to your cheekbone by using your contour angle brush. When applying the blush sweep downward from the top of the cheekbone inward towards the end of the cheekbone.

Step 6: Chose a shimmery eyeshadow of your choice. I usually pick something that matches the outfit. Nothing says "sexy" like shimmer. Using an eyeshodow brush for the eyelid and apply a sweep to your lids with a deeper color pressed into your eyelid crease.

To make your eyes look wider with a hint of super light, apply a white eyeshadow pressed into the inside corner of your eyes.

Step 7: Apply eyeliner. You can use either a liquid eyeliner or a pencil eyeliner, which ever you feel comfortable. For an instant smokey eye, use the pencil eyeliner and smudge it with your finger. Be careful that you don't smudge it too much.

I like to use a black eyeshadow and apply it to outter corner of my eye with a blending brush doing a circular motion inward. Then create a more kitten-ish look by apply a thin coat of liquid eyeliner.

Step 8: Curl lashes with an eyelash curler to open up the eyes.

Step 9: Apply mascara.

Finally set with translucent powder.
